Building a Cost-Efficient India

The AACE India Section was launched on 1st December 2018, at IIT Delhi, by Shri. Sadananda Gowda, Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation. The launch was attended by AACE Members, industry leaders, students and academia. During his address, the Minister stated that the Government intends to see that all projects get completed on time for the benefit of the people and the nation. He went on to say that the government will definitely support AACE India in its mission to help infrastructure companies increase efficiency and reduce delays. The Minister wished the AACE India team all success and mentioned that his ministry would greatly benefit from AACE programmes.

AACE International, a not-for-profit organization is focused on serving the infrastructure sector. On the occasion Prof. M Balakrishnan, Director of IIT Delhi addressed the audience and assured full-fledged support of his institute to the cause of building a cost-efficient nation. Prof. K. C Iyer, Dept. of Civil Engineering, IIT Delhi, shared his profound insights on how deeper learning has become the imperative for the Indian Project Management Community

The launch event was followed by an in-depth Workshop and Round Table Discussion by Industry leaders and renowned academicians. The discussions were centered on improving Cost and Schedule Efficiency in Large Capital Public and Private Projects through effective project control. The workshop on Project Management Gambling by the international project management and project control expert Mr. Laurie Bowman dealt with how value generation happens through right decisions and risk management.

Mr. Mohammed Rafiuddin, VP Membership Board, AACEI and Dr. Madhu P Pillai, Director, International Cost Engineering Council shared their thoughts on professional development through certifications and the AACE International Conference 2019.
